Capitol Hill Block Party Announces 2011 Lineup

July 22-24 are the dates for the 2011 Capitol Hill Block Party in Seattle.

The street party known as Capitol Hill Block Party gave up some of their 2011 lineup. It’s no surprise that this Seattle neighborhood festival favors Northwestern artists. TV On The Radio, Explosions In The Sky, Ghostland Observatory, Ra Ra Riot, Thurston Moore, The Cave Singer, and Battles head the first phase.

Tickets are going to run about $75 for all three days (July 22-24) with single day at $27.50.

The festival is sponsored by locally rad alternative paper, The Stranger, and we’re happy to see that Capitol Hill is happening in 2011 despite objections that the festival is disruptive for business.

This is only a partial list — the rest of the lineup is expected on June 1st.

While his identity remains a mystery, you may have already met him, probably when he helped himself to your party favors.
