Girl Talk, Matisyahu, and more join the 2012 Catalpa lineup.
The Catalpa Music Festival, NYC’s newest fest, announced more additions to the lineup. Girl Talk, Matt & Kim, Cold War Kids, Hercules And Love Affair, Matisyahu, Dirty Heads, The Sheepdogs, and Hook N’ Sling will play Randall’s Island July 28-29, 2012. Besides the music there will be sham marriages, local food, and fireballs. Oh yeah. Fireballs.
Previously announced artists include The Black Keys, TV On The Radio, Umphreys McGee, AraabMUZIK, and a rad performance by Snoop Dogg playing all of Doggy Style (along with some special guests). There’s also a reggae stage curated by High Times! The High Times Cannabis Cup Band, Ras Droppa, Lenky Don, DJ Gravey, Ras Menelik and the Arc, Angels Nyabhingi, Adriel Williams, and Crucial Bridge will perform. And there’s still more announcements coming in May.
You should have already picked up early bird tickets when they were discounted at $99 for a two day pass. Now you have to pay $139 — and if you wait any longer it’s going to be $179 bucks. So hurry up and jump on one of the most anticipated fests of the NYC summer.
