Tickets for the 40th Anniversary of Glastonbury went on sale Sunday — and sold out in less than 24 hours. What a turnaround from 2007 when tickets were still available right up until the the festival.

It must the be lineup. Nope. There have been zero lineup announcements for the June 23-27 show. People really, really, want to go to this festival.

Already the rumors are flying. Maybe the Rolling Stones. Maybe Coldplay. Maybe just pick a band and start your own Internet rumor.

Born during a sweaty, backstage, Bonnaroo downpour, the Chief Festival Junkie's mission in life is to dance, write, and travel to every great festival that this wide world has to offer. While his identity remains a mystery, you may have already met him, probably when he helped himself to your party favors.

  • Hi folks,

Just to let you know about South Park Gardens Music Festival, which takes place on Saturday 10th July in Wimbledon, south London.

This festival is different from all the others, because all performers at our festival are under the age of 22.

This year is the second time the event has been held: the 2009 festival drew a crowd of over 2000 people. This year promises to even bigger, with activities for all the family including bouncy castle, music workshops, face painting, badge making, and of course, lots of music.

Musical styles at the 2009 festival ranged from rock to rap to opera and jazz.

Check out the website, http://www.southparkgardensmusicfestival.com to find out more.

    Many thanks,

    Julian Butler (festival co-organiser).
