It’s almost Christmas which means the MFJ 2011 Festival Guide is almost ready. There have been a slew of announcements over the last couple months which means loads of updates. Below we have four returning festivals and their 2011 dates.
All Good
One of the jammiest of the jam festivals and also one of the most popular ones amongst the festival junkies. This should be an especially good year as All Good celebrates its 15th year.
July 14-17, 2011
80/35 Festival
This Des Moines festival debuted last year with a strong lineup that included Modest Mouse, The Walkmen, and Slightly Stoopid. Look for more of the same in ’11.
July 2-3, 2011
Austin City Limits
The 2011 early bird passes have already sold out for this festival stalwart. Look for the next batch of tickets in the spring.
September 16-18, 2011
BamaJam Festival
BamaJam is set to tear up Enterprise, Alabama with a strong mix of southern rock and country.
June 2-4, 2011

There is no evidence that Bamajam will occur in 2011. The web site is gone. You have not been able to buy tickets since the FBI arrested the promoter, Ronnie Gilley. I have $396 worth of useless paper.

I too have worthless tickets as do so many others who bought them at last years concert at a discounted price or before they stopped selling them early this fall. What can be done about this if anything?
I have two predictions:
1 Nothing will happen. This is best. Then we can make a claim on our credit card.
2 Gilley will put on a cheap show. Like Blackberry Smoke for one act. That way he puts on a show and if we don’t see it then it is our fault.
Time will tell.
Nice photo – are those real?
