A few smaller style festivals have already announced dates for next year. Those of you that have become disenchanted with Bonchellapalooza should keep an eye on the following fests.
Neon Desert Music Festival
May 25th, 2013
Entering into its third year, Neon Desert is becoming a major fixture in El Paso. NDMF is also a prime example of crafting a DIY festival that brings big names to the area while fully supporting the local music scene.

Like a shot of awesomeness sorely needed in the Rocky Mountains, the Boise based Treefort will once again provide a taste of SXSW…but without the lines and hype. The Music Festival Junkies are hoping to make a return journey to one of our favorite fests from 2012.
What The Festival
July 26-28, 2013
Debuting for the first time in 2012, this low-key camping festival featured a ton of acts like Holy Fuck, Gold Panda, Beats Antique, and Big Gigantic. Just about 100 miles from Portland, WTF takes place in scenic White River Canyon, Oregon.
Underground Music Showcase
July 18-21, 2013
For over a decade, The Underground Music Showcase (The UMS) has been breaking local artists in this showcase festival. It has outlasted all of the major festivals that have tried to make Denver a home which speaks to the popularity of UMS.
