Union Park in Chicago just got a bit more crowded with new acts added to the already packed Pitchfork 2009 Music Festival. From the official site –
And here are some more newly announced bands playing the fest: Portland pop-punk mainstays the Thermals, one man orchestra Final Fantasy, neo-folk act Bowerbirds, recent Best New Music recipients Cymbals Eat Guitars, and a pair of Chicago acts: far-out indie rock duo Michael Columbia and post-punks Killer Whales.
All the indie goodness takes place July 17 -July 19. Three day passes have sold out, but there are still single day passes up for grabs at $35.
