London may have the Olympics in 2012, but the UK has lost Glastonbury this year. The largest greenfield festival in the world typically takes a year off a couple times a decade to let the fields recover, and with London driving up the price of portable toilets and stealing the police for their little shindig, Michael Eavis, the founder/farmer of Glastonbury, decided to take the summer off.
Glastonbury will be back on June 26, 2013.
