Paris Hilton — Coming Soon to a Festival Near You?

I’ll be honest. I don’t follow Paris Hilton much (shocking), so I didn’t know she was dating Afrojack or that she had become a DJ or that she loves ferrets. So you can imagine my surprise to discover that the Pop Music Festival in Sao Paulo, Brazil booked her highness for a debut one hour set. The June 23rd show will also feature Jennifer Lopez and Kelly Clarkson.

Hilton is quoted in Billboard as saying this “is going to be the first of many.” With the insane growth of electronic music festivals in the United States, expect her to make at least one appearance at an American festival. She’ll get hired for the buzz factor alone. I’m going out on a limb and predicting that Paris Hilton will be the greatest DJ ever known and that her mixing skills will unite mankind much like Wyld Stallyns. But haters are gonna hate like this petition that seeks to ban Paris Hilton from EDM.
