Big news from one of the biggest festivals in the United States. The Sasquatch! Music Festival will be two weekends next year, but with a big twist. Instead of back to back weekends, Sasquatch will run May 23-25, 2014 (Memorial Day Weekend), and July 4-6, 2014 (Fourth of July Weekend). There will also be two completely different lineups.

Both versions of Sasquatch! will be held at The Gorge in Washington, one of the best outdoor venues in the US for shows.

Coachella started the double down trend in 2012 and was followed this year by Ultra and Austin City Limits. It’s been working for Coachella — they’ll do it again it 2014, but Ultra has already announced that they are going back to one weekend.

Good move? Bad move? Coachella has proved that as a business model this works, but what does it do the unique experience of each festival? Sound off below.
