For those of you that can’t stand lazing away on the beaches, it’s time to head to the hills. Bring your skis and snowboards for a week in the Colorado Rockies. The ultimate apres-ski is a three day blowout — but with plenty of late night parties, you’ll be hard pressed for those early morning powder days.

Maybe it’s not the best idea to head into Mexico, but then again Spring Break isn’t the time to consider details. The Vive Latino Festival provides the best excuse to throw back cervezas in Mexico City and an even better reason to go recoup at the beach for a few days. You can’t beat crossing the border for the absolutely massive Canadian Music Festival in Toronto. There’s 900 artists, 60 venues, and no problems with your fake ID.

You’ll spend half your vacation getting there, but the Golden Plains Festival is prefect for you business school types. With no commercial sponsors, no commercial signage on site, no market stalls, and nothing being marketed to you for the whole long weekend you will finally be able to unplug.

Best Spring Break for Hipsters.
You could try to get into the crowded South by Southwest Festival, but we love the Treefort Festival in Boise, Idaho. You’ll get a good chunk of the bands that performed at SXSW and can brag to your friends that Austin is “way too mainstream.”
