Tom Petty and Kings of Leon to Headline Hangout Fest 2013

Hangout 2013 Poster

The Hangout Fest (May 17-19, 2013) tore it up today with their first lineup announcement. The Kings of Leon and Tom Petty will join a yet unannounced headliner. The hits kept coming with confirmed artists like the Trey Anastasio Band, The Shins, Bassnectar, The Black Crowes, Public Enemy, Kendrick Lamar, The Roots, Stlightly Stoopid, Steve Akoi, Passion Pit, Bloc Party, and Gov’t Mule.

Not bad for a festival that is only celebrating its fourth year. Hangout, which takes place in the Gulf of Mexico (Gulf Shores, Alabama), is owning the middle of the May festival season. With this lineup and five stages right on the beach, you better be picking up tickets quick. And speaking of tickets…

Tickets: Passes go on-sale this Friday, February 15th at 11am EST/10am CST and will run $209 for a three-day pass.

Check out the Tony Clifton inspired lineup announcement.

Born during a sweaty, backstage, Bonnaroo downpour, the Chief Festival Junkie's mission in life is to dance, write, and travel to every great festival that this wide world has to offer. While his identity remains a mystery, you may have already met him, probably when he helped himself to your party favors.

To go from Jack White, Red Hot Chili Peppers, & Dave Matthews Band in 2012, to Tom Petty, Kings of Leon, and Stevie Wonder is nothing short of laughable.
