The Ultra Music Festival in Miami announced that it too will join the ranks of dual weekend dates for 2013. Ultra 2013 will take place from March 15-17 and March 22-24. Doubling up this year is a no-brainer for one of the world’s most popular EDM festivals. Last year, Ultra sold out more than two months before the fest started.
Will the two weekends differ? According to this Facebook post:
We are offering the “unique” opportunity to see your favorite talent in DIFFERENT ARENAS, on DIFFERENT STAGES, on DIFFERENT WEEKENDS!!! And for those who can’t get enough ULTRA, both weekends are available at a slightly discounted combined price!
Not sure why “unique” is in quotes and still a bit confused about the lineup? It sounds like the same lineup each weekend with a different schedule.
Tickets: Early bird tickets go on sale October 17 and like last year you can expect them to sell out in minutes. You can also subscribe to the Ultra mailing list to get in even earlier.
For those of you keeping count, this is the second major festival following in Coachella’s footsteps. Austin City Limits made a similar announcement for 2013 as well. The only question remains: Which large festival won’t go double in 2013?
