HI. I just wanted to warn everyone that as usual, it's going to be hellishly hot. Our forecast is predicting a bad heat wave and chances for isolated rain throughout the festival. Hopefully it will rain a bit, enough to cool things down. As for now, no severe precip is expected. Please remember to bring your sunscreen and guzzle water. A sheer, white, cotton long sleeved shirt periodically soaked with cool water is sorta nice. In case that there will not be any rain, be sure to throw a bandana or two in with your gear. In years past, during a drought, the dust was horrible and having a dust mask or bandana to shield your mouth and nose was a necessity. Please bring comfortable shoes. I would suggest sneakers and water-proof sandals. Flip-flops are a TERRIBLE idea unless they are the high-end outdoor type with fabric thongs instead of plastic ones. If you have plenty of room to bring lots of supplies, I would suggest picking up some rubber muck boots or galoshes just in case there is an unexpected amount of rain. I would bring an extra set of car keys, plenty of money and a cell phone charger that fits into your car's cigarette lighter. Be sure to budget wisely. Most every year, I get hit with an unexpected expense. Ice is really expensive and if you are placed in the far-away campgrounds, you might have to pay for a golf-cart cab...pretty pricey. Bring more water than you need and try to drink a serving of water per alcoholic bev. It's a good idea to have a headlamp for going to the port-o-potties and navigating through the campgrounds at night. Beware of tent stakes and guy-wires. Beware of carts. It is ridiculously easy to get run over. If you bring a bucket, you can drain your cooler water into it and have a shockingly cold foot soak that feels FABULOUS around noon in the TN sun. Get a poncho/ rainsuit. Those emergency ponchos are pretty useless, but better than nothing. Coleman and Stearns brands make some good ones that are inexpensive, heavy duty and will last for years. Bring some freezer bags or a water-proof container to house your phone, smokes and camera in case of rain during a show. Get to know your camping neighbors. I've made lifelong friends from meeting, sharing and hanging out with my neighbors. Hold onto your map and schedule for dear life. If it gets soaked or dropped you are screwed. I always print off several copies of the schedule from home so that I will have bonus copies to use or share. Sunscreen sunscreen sunscreen!!!! Be careful on the roads. Try not to speed, text and drive or talk on the phone and drive. That is illegal in a lot of TN towns. It's a good idea to do a trial run with your tent before you arrive. Please enjoy my beloved Tennessee. The town of Manchester will welcome you with open arms. I hope that you all travel safely and have a great fest!

This is going to be the worst Bonnaroo ever. If people thought Metallica was a shitty headliner, then wait until Eminem spreads his hate to close out the festival. This is 1 step away from Woodstock '99
