THE SCENE

Starry Nights is a two-day music festival in Bowling Green, Kentucky that brings together local community artists and organizations, as well as national touring musicians. This festival started in 2008 as just an idea one night at a local bar, Tidballs. Bryan Graves, founder of Starry Nights Music Festival, wanted to get the local and regional bands out of the bar scene and give them a bigger stage to play on. Like most grass roots organizations, founded by people who are passionate, driven, and without much money, the festival grew by word of mouth and spread to cities in Tennessee, Indiana, Mississippi, and Ohio. By 2009, what had started as an idea in a smoky, crowded bar is now a successful out-door, community driven event that promoted and supported local artists.
