As promised, the lineup for the 2009 Virgin Festival: Nova Scotia was announced this morning via Twitter. The Tragically Hip will headline. Other acts include The Offpsring, Dinosaur Jr, Hey Rosetta!, Plants and Animals, and Arkells. About an hour later, Metric was slapped on with the promise of more artists in the future.

V Fest: Nova Scotia will take place at Citadel Hill, Halifax on Saturday, July 4th. There will be a total of five Virgin Festivals throughout Canada during the 2009 summer. Details for the Montreal V Festival were released last week. Read more about that festival here.
