The Mulberry Mountain based Wakarusa Music Festival is having a busy week. The most important news first: Ticket sales start December 2nd, 2011 at 12:00 pm (noon) CST. A three-day pass which doesn’t include camping will start at $139 for the May 31-June 3, 2012 show. Camping passes will run from $29-$99 depending on how close to the venue you want to pitch your tent. The camping pass is per vehicle. Up to 5 people can ride in one vehicle, and split the cost of camping or parking.

There are loads of other ticket options like VIP, RV parking passes, and two day tickets, so make sure to stop by the official website to see which option is best suits your needs.

For all you artistic types, December 6th marks the start of the 11th annual Wakarusa poster design contest. Winner gets pair of VIP passes to the festival.

And finally, the Wakarusa team hits the road this January to discover the best Midwest regional talent to play at this summer’s festival. The tour lets several bands compete against each other with the winner getting an invitation to play Wakarusa 2012. Here’s the tour schedule.
