The Pitchfork Music Festival is a three-day event showcasing over 40 of independent music’s best bands and artists on three stages. With so many blockbuster festivals gouging their attendees out of absolutely obscene sums of money, only to confine them in uncomfortable, tight spaces and skimp on basic necessities, our goal is to do the right thing: That is, to create a reasonably priced summer music festival that provides an overwhelmingly positive, comfortable and fun festival experience for both attendees and musicians.
I was wondering if there is any camping allowed at the Festival in Chicago?
If not on the actual concert grounds, perhaps near by?
Any information would be much appreciated! Thanks much!

Chicago is rough when it comes to camping. There’s none at the festivals and campgrounds are a good clip from festival grounds. Having said that, I’m not from the Chicago area so if any Music Festival Junkies Chicago Insiders have any info, post away below.
You are probably better off staying in a hostel or cheap hotel. You can probably get a room for 50 bucks about a half hour away. There are some forest preserves around that you could camp in, they are probably about a half hour from the festival too.
