Outside Lands 2012 Photo Gallery

With temperatures barely reaching 60 degrees in San Francisco, the best way to stay warm at this year’s Outside Lands was to start a dance party. And with sets from Trampled By Turtles, Dr. Dog, Die Antwoord, Sean Hayes, and Portugal. The Man, it was easy to stay moving. Other highlights included Stevie Wonder, Metallica with a sick multi level stage, and a surprise performance in the woods by Jack White.

Treefort Music Festival 2012: Saturday in Photos

Sunny and seventy degrees greeted the MFJ crew when some of us finally woke up Saturday afternoon. Treefort Fest was already in full swing so we headed straight to the main stage to work on our tans and chow down on local food from street vendors. We caught a bunch of local Boise acts including Vagerfly, Dedicated Servers, Charles Engels & The Family Matters, and hometown heroes — Built To Spill.

Treefort Music Festival 2012: Friday In Photos

From coffee houses doubling as mosh pits to dive bar rock shows to crowded outdoor stages, the Music Festival Junkies sampled just about everything that the inaugural Treefort Music Festival had to offer. The multi-venue festival featured a slew of local Boise artists alongside acts traveling back from SXSW.

Treefort ran from March 22-25 (Thursday-Sunday). The team roadtripped out early Friday morning to check out the raddest new festival in the Rocky Mountains. We got the chance to interview bands, catch some tunes, and snap some photos. Here are some from our Friday adventures.
