Our favorite free festival, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, has posted dates for next year. The San Francisco festival will run from October 5-7, 2013. Expect the bulk of the acts to be on Saturday and Sunday. We attended HSB for the first time this past fall and couldn’t have been more impressed. Yeah, it can get crowded, but it’s surprisingly chill for a festival that literally has no gates. Plus, it takes place in Golden Gate Park which is worth the trip alone. If you are feeling overwhelmed by people, there’s plenty of nearby locations to take in a quiet breather.
