The Music Festival Junkies are heading to the Treefort Music Festival this weekend (March 22-25) and with over seventy acts, it’s going to be a challenge trying to sample everything that Treefort has to offer. The key to seeing everything at a music festival is this — don’t try to see everything. Pick a few bands that interest you and try to make their sets. Here’s a few of the acts that the Music Festival Junkies have on their wishlist for Treefort:
The Soft White Sixties
Friday, March 23rd
The Red Room: Midnight
The Soft White Sixties from San Francisco take the stage at midnight for a set filled with some throwback arena style seventies rock.

Sample Tune: Queen of The Press Club
Blitzen Trapper
Friday, March 23rd
Neurolux: 10:00 pm
Our favorite Portland funk folk headliner rocks out Bosie-style. A can’t miss show unless you’re busy checking out the other half dozen acts happening that time. Damn you Friday night!

Sample Tune: Might Find it Cheap
Dedicated Servers
Saturday, March 24
The Reef: 10:00 pm
A trio of Boise locals who have been dropping beats since 2004. According to them: “We put the mint in enterain-mint because we’re fresh.”

Sample Tune: Hall of Famers
Mr. Gnome
Thursday, March 22
The Red Room: Midnight
The first night of Treefort is closed out by this surreal and trippy band from Cleveland, Ohio.

Sample Tune: Ate The Sun
Tim Blood and the Gut Panthers
Friday, March 23
The Crux: 9:00 pm
These guys claim to have rowdy live shows and wear very short shorts. Sounds exactly like a show we need to catch.

Sample Tune: I Hate My Friends

The Soft White Sixties rocked the Red Room! In fact, the whole Red Room lineup Friday night pretty much kicked ass. THanks for introducing the band to me. Good reco!
We agree. It was a bitchin’ night of music.
