#4 Spot: The legendary CBGB venue in NYC will be reincarnated as a music festival this summer. Just the announcement alone catapaulted CBGB into the top 5 most popular festivals on MFJ.

#7 Spot: Catalpa, another first year NYC festival, also jumped into The MFJ 50 out of nowhere. With a lineup that includes The Black Keys, Snoop Dogg, and Girl Talk, expect this July festival to stay popular for the next few months.

#13 Spot: The Los Angeles based Hard Summer climbed 17 spots last month as EDM festivals continue their domination of 2012.

#21 and #36 Spots: The announcement of a dual-city electronic music festival taking place in both San Francisco and San Diego launched I Love This City into the MFJ 50.

#28 Spot: With no lineup yet, fans are searching hard for any information about Chicago’s Wicker Park Music Festival.

#31 Spot: Motley Crue and Slash are just a few of the metal acts honored at SSMF. Who’s it going to be this year?

#37 Spot: The traveling metal Mayhem Festival makes its debut on The MFJ 50 this month.
